So as an artist and designer my mind never shuts down. My body either if I stop and take the time to think about it. I'm always on the go and people often joke did I give up sleeping to fit in another project. Come on, really, I'm blogging on vacation!
There are those times when I feel like I need to step back. Take a moment to recharge and draw inspiration. Today I found that in this....
A child awed by the sheer beauty of the ocean. So small in comparison but yet so great with the wonder of imagination. To dream and create is my gift from God and today I take time to thank my Father for it. We should never lose that innocence and wonder of a child. To see the beauty in everything around us. I spent the day looking at colors with a renewed since of joy and this is where you insert the picture of the wheels turning in my head.
My vision for the use of color has been renewed. Everyone should have an inspirational piece of furniture in their home. A pop of color that makes you happy and brings joy to your day. It could remind you of a moment in your life. Something you love and can not live without. These are the pieces I love to create. These are the pieces we love to create. These are the pieces we do create. That one of a kind piece salvaged and given a new life.
We are going to begin mixing our own chalk paint colors for even more unique one of a kind pieces. So far we use Amy Howard at Home, Annie Sloan and American Paint Company. I think over the next month we are going to try a few others out there to create our own comparison and mixing list. Stay tuned for our fun experiments.
